Last time, Apple took everyone by surprise with its launch of iPad 4. If the original yearly cycle of launching iPads is followed, the next one may be due soon. People are beginning to speculate on the timing of the iPad 5, which is rumored to be thinner and lighter than previous versions, by iPad maker, Apple.
Some have speculated that Apple might schedule an event sometime in April for the fifth generation iPad’s launch. But KGI Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, conflicts this hunch and believes that Apple might launch its next awaited product somewhere around August or September of this year, a year after launching the iPad 4.
KGI Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, who is either really lucky with his guesses or he has got really good resources, as his previous predictions about launch of iPad 4 and iPhone 5 have been accurate, released a note:
“We think the tablet will, at 7.5-8.0mm, be 15% thinner than iPad 4. The new device will likely be about 500 grams, or some 25% lighter than iPad 4, run on an A7X processor, and sport cameras with similar specs to the iPad 4’s (front HD, rear 5MP). The casing shape and color (silver and black) and narrow bezel design will be similar to the iPad mini’s.”
We like the sound of a thinner and lighter iPad, and along with other Apple-lovers, wait in eager anticipation for the upcoming release of the iPad 5 – we just hope it comes sooner rather than later.
