An attorney for JD.com founder Richard Liu said Monday that surveillance video revealing the Chinese businessman in an elevator and walking arm-in-arm having a woman who has accused him of rape stipulates a distinct account of what happened that evening.

Two edited movies of his accuser and Liu were posted Monday into some Chinese networking website. The law firm stated the videos are somewhat consistent with what she told law enforcement and alleged in a lawsuit filed last week from the president and his company.

1 video shows the set leaving a set dinner at Minneapolis on Aug. 30, with the woman getting up to leave afterwards Liu gets up, then following him outside the door. The other video indicates the woman holding on Liu’s arm as they walk to her apartment, where she says that he raped her because she begged him to stop.

Liu, creator of this Beijing-based e-commerce website JD.com, was detained Aug. 31 in Minneapolis on suspicion of felony disorder, but prosecutors announced in December that he would face no criminal charges since the situation had”deep propounded problems” and it was unlikely that they could prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

The woman, Jingyao Liu, a Chinese school student at the University of Minnesota, alleges in her lawsuit that she was groped in Richard Liu’s limo and mistreated in her apartment following a dinner at Origami, a Japanese restaurant in Minneapolis, in which she says she felt forced to drink like Liu as well as other executives toasted her. Richard Liu said when she didn’t join , she would dishonor him, ” the lawsuit states.

Jingyao Liu and richard Liu aren’t related.

It is not clear who posted the movies, which have been published beneath an account. The clips are short and the material will be edited, but their validity was verified by the attorneys in China of Richard Liu. The movies do not include audio, plus they do not show what occurred in his limousine or at the apartment of the woman.

Jill Brisbois, Richard Liu’s lawyer in Minnesota, said in a statement to The Associated Press the clips”further afield the misinformation and false claims which have been widely circulated and certainly support the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office decision to not file charges against our client.”

Brisbois said the videos show events as they’re happening and also speak for themselves. While the woman has alleged she was vaccinated and coerced to drink, she appears to be walking without help and linking her arm with all an businessman.

The suit says the woman went to her apartment construction with Liu to be polite and respectful, and thought he was walking to the doorway.

The clip in Jingyao Liu’s apartment complex displays Richard Liu and taking lifts and the woman walking through lobbies. Initially, the female assistant of Richard Liu is using them and the girl leads the way. At one stage, the helper does not get in an elevator together with Richard Liu along with the woman, and if they exit the lift, she has her hand and he’s got his hands in his pockets.

She continues to connect her hands through his arm and directs him via a second pair of doors, then up a short stairway. She leads him down a hallway to a flat as they get off the other elevator. She opens the door and goes , also Richard Liu follows.

The other clip features surveillance video . It reveals Jingyao Liu seated at a table with men, also Richard Liu is a few chairs away, appearing to have an animated conversation with other people at the table. One man at the dinner celebration has been slumped over and appears to be passed . The girl is seen speaking to the man next to herand if Liu gets up to leave, she gets up and appears to follow him. They walk next to each other. Video from beyond the restaurant reveals her departing with Richard Liu along with his assistant.

Richard Liu walks forward and it seems the woman and Liu’s assistant have a talk, she then follows Liu.

Text messages reviewed by The Associated Press and portions of this woman’s interviews with police show that the woman alleges Liu pulled her and left improvements and groped her protests. The lawsuit says she was raped by Liu within her protests and resistance, again at her apartment. She articulates a buddy:”I cried him do not. But he did not hear.”

The assault occurred while Richard Liu was in Minneapolis for a residency as part of their University of the physician of business administration China of Minnesota program. The four-year program at the university’s management school is aimed toward executives in China and it is now a partnership with Tsinghua University School of Management and Economics.

Jingyao Liu is a Chinese citizen studying in the university on a student visa and has been a volunteer in the doctorate program while Richard Liu was there. The Associated Press does not generally name alleged victims of sexual assault but the Florin Roebig law firm representing her has said she agreed to be termed.

He is a part of a generation of entrepreneurs who’ve established the internet of China. The son of peasants,” Liu constructed a Beijing electronics shop into JD.com, China’s largest online direct merchant and selling everything from clothing to toys to fresh vegetables.
